Origines Art (The art of origins) is a folk art project, created in 2013 by Ricardo Alves, which through the handmade ceramics, recreates the culture, customs and beliefs of the ancestral peoples. Prehistoric idols, pagan gods, ancestral warriors, mythical and fantastic creatures are the main creations of the craftsman, those he makes with all the dedication and affection. All the works are manufactured from his home, in a small workshop, using only the manual techniques of modeling. The absence of the potter's wheel and of molds, makes his pieces unique and original, not having two equal. The modeling technique used by the craftsman, already used in the Neolithic, is the manual, which consists of the elaboration of the pieces using the use of rolls, plates or clay balls that are smoothed and moistened with their own hands.
